Testimonials
John was great helping us with our first real estate purchase. He made himself available to show us many properties on short notice, which we were very grateful for. He answered all of our (many!) questions honestly and helped us find a great first home. We would recommend John to any of our friends and family and will definitely be calling him for our next sale/purchase.

John’s Story – His First Year as a St Albert Realtor

At the time, 23 years old, I was wandering through life aimlessly. I had the gift of being a salesman, but really didn’t have a lot of drive to do much of anything in life. I knew that an academic life was not for me; as evidenced by my disasterous 2 years in university. That’s when, while selling in retail, I met a real estate broker who was building a high-tech real estate office. I thought to myself, “Hey. I can do that. The commissions are bigger than I’m making now and people will always need a place to live.”So being me, I jumped into the real estate life with both feet… right into the deep end of the pool. And promptly sunk to the bottom. I didn’t have a tough start. I had a disasterous start. I sucked in a major way. I didn’t know anything, I looked like a geeky teenager, and I was in far over my head. Oh yeah, and I was broke. Really broke. So poor that I had to measure the gas in my old car to where I would be working; because I wasn’t sure if there was enough in there to get me back again. Many people in this business succeeded because of their knowledge, training, or skill. I succeeded because of sheer stubborness. I tried everything… and I did it all the wrong way. If you could advertise wrong, I would do it. If you could screw up a transaction, I did it in my first year. But eventually, through the process of elimination, I started to do it right. I’m not a successful St. Albert real estate agent because I learned to do it right. I’m successful because I learned the hard way; I learned through personal experience what not to do… and when the going gets tough I know how to turn things around. I’ve done it before, and I do it now for my clients. Thanks to the help of my great mother, increadibly patient girlfriend (now my wife) and some terrific friends, I was able to develop into a succesful Realtor. But not until I was done being the biggest disaster in the business. My name is John Carle. I’m a hard working St Albert Realtor.

FEATURED BUYER

Client ID: jc0023576
Location: Millwoods
Property Type: Detached Single Family Home
Aproved By: Mortgage Broker
Price Range: Up to $375,000
Time Frame: 30 - 90 Days

Notes:

We’re looking for a detached, single family home in the southside of Edmonton. The buyer would prefer an unfinished basement, and definitely prefers home built after 1986 (2×6 construction). Building type isn’t a big issue for them, as they’ve seen bi-levels and 2 stories and 4 level splits that they like.

They are not afraid of a fixer upper.
