Since 1999, John has worked diligently to become one of the top Realtors in the Edmonton area. After more than a decade of hard work, egg on his face, and late nights… John Carle is now one of the most successful and sought after Realtors in the Edmonton area.
John lives in St. Albert with his wife Kim, their 4 children, and his teenaged niece.
Considered one of the top “techy” Realtors in Alberta, he uses technology to better expose his listings to the world. That helps him to get more buyers for his homes, and better achieve the ultimate goal of a sale.
In summer of 2008 John made the move to RE/MAX from Royal LePage. It was the best decision he had made for his real estate practice; joining the most professional and progressive real estate company in the world. It was a perfect fit.

John’s Story – His First Year in Real Estate
At 23 years old, I was wandering through life aimlessly. I had the gift of the gab, a salesman born, but really didn’t have a lot of drive to do much of anything in life. I knew that an academic life was not for me; as evidenced by my disasterous 2 years in university. I was on the Dean’s “other list”.
While selling retail electronics, I met a real estate broker who was starting a high-tech real estate office. I thought to myself, “Hey. I can do that. It’s gotta be a stable living; people will always need a place to live.” So being who I am, I jumped into the real estate life with both feet; right into the deep end of the pool… And promptly sunk to the bottom. I didn’t have a tough start. I had a disasterous start. I sucked in a major way. I didn’t know anything, I looked like a geeky teenager, and I was in far over my head. Oh yeah, and I was broke. Really broke. So poor that I had to measure the gas in my old car to where I would be working; because I wasn’t sure if there was enough in there to get me back again.
Many people in this business succeeded because of their knowledge, training, or skill. I succeeded because of sheer stubborness. I tried everything… and I did it all; the wrong way. If you could advertise the wrong way, I would do it. If you could screw up a transaction, I did it in my first year. But eventually, through the process of elimination, I started to do it right. I’m not a successful REALTOR because it was given to me on a silver platter. I’m successful because I learned from the school of hard knocks; I learned through personal experience what not to do… and when the going gets tough I know how to turn things around. I’ve done it before, and I do it now for my clients on a regular basis.
