October home sales not as quiet as would be expected in #YEG #YEGRE

The first signs of winter arrived a little earlier than most of us would have liked this year. For REALTORS®, the winter months usually mean slower sales, but October was far from quiet in the Edmonton Real Estate market. REALTORS® sold an average of 44 properties a day in October, right here in the local market. There was an average of 72 new For Sale signs a day too. That works out to a sales-to-listing ratio of 62%. Though there were fewer new listings than in the previous month, sales were higher. Inventory was far from depleted though, with more than 6,400 properties listed on the REALTORS® Multiple Listings Service® in October.

While the winter months aren’t as busy as the rest of the year, they’re still busy. The truth is, life usually dictates when it’s time to make a move, and it doesn’t always wait for the summer.  Your local REALTOR®  is busy, but they have time to help you if it’s time for you to make a move. Your local REALTOR®: here when life happens.
